How to Choose a Custom Tablecloth With Your Logo

The best custom tablecloth is the one that fits the actual table, keeps the most important message visible from the aisle and matches how your team uses the space behind it.

Start with the table—not the artwork

Before choosing a style, confirm the table’s length, width and height. Six-foot and eight-foot banquet tables are common, but venue tables and portable tables vary. A correct measurement prevents a fitted cover from pulling at the corners and keeps a throw from pooling on the floor.

Also decide whether people will sit behind the table or store supplies underneath it. An open-back or three-sided configuration can make working the booth easier, while a closed-back cover gives a finished look from every direction.

·       Measure length, width and height.

·       Note whether the back will face visitors.

·       Check whether access to under-table storage matters.

·       Confirm indoor or outdoor use.

Choose the style for the job

A traditional throw is flexible and familiar. A fitted cover creates straighter corners and a tailored silhouette. A stretch cover produces a modern, tensioned look. A table runner or overlay can update an existing solid-color cloth and may be useful when the same branded panel must work across different events.

There is no universally superior style. The right choice depends on the table, how quickly the booth must be set up and whether you want a formal, relaxed or modern appearance.

Economy vs. premium logo tablecloths

Carbon’s economy option starts with a preproduced polyester tablecloth and applies the front logo with commercial-grade heat-transfer material. It is a practical value for straightforward artwork that does not require full-surface printing.

Economy logos may be reproduced in one solid color—such as white, black, gold or silver—or in a multicolor configuration. Gradients, varying shades, fine lines, distressed effects, very small text and faded edges may require simplification, a contrasting contour or the premium option. Economy printing is limited to the front and has maximum reproduction dimensions.

Premium tablecloths use large-format dye-sublimation printing, allowing gradients, detailed logos, custom background colors, photography and artwork across the front, top and sides. Choose economy for a clean front logo and lower starting cost; choose premium when complex reproduction or a fully branded cloth is central to the display. Carbon reviews the artwork and sends a proof for approval before production.

·       Economy: best for a simple front-facing logo and limited color needs.  Typically designs need to be simpler in look and construction.  The design on the tablecloth has size limitations.

·       Premium: best for gradients, fine detail, photography, custom colors or broader print coverage.  Generally, AI generated designs require this option.   There are no limitations on the print area other than the physical cloth - the entire cloth is printable area.

·       Check the current product pages for exact sizes, colors, production schedules and pricing.

Design for viewing distance

A table cover is usually seen while someone is walking. Keep the logo large, use strong contrast and limit the front panel to one main idea. Small paragraphs, thin fonts and low-contrast photos may look attractive on a monitor but disappear in a busy room.

Ask for a proof that shows the design on the correct product template. Review spelling, phone numbers, URLs, logo proportions and safe areas before approving production.

·       One dominant logo or headline

·       High contrast between text and background

·       Important content away from seams and floor-level folds

·       A call to action that can be read in a few seconds

Price is only one part of value

When comparing table covers, look beyond the starting price. Confirm what is included: front-only or all-over printing, design assistance, proofing, edge finishing, fabric specification, carrying bag, production time and shipping. A lower initial price can be less useful if the final layout does not represent the brand well.

Why buyers choose Carbon Graphic Design

Carbon Graphic Design is a family-owned custom-printing business founded in Ohio in 2013. Our site states that we use U.S.-based partner production facilities and have served more than 15,000 customers. Rather than treating every order as a simple file upload, we can turn your logo, information and goals into a coordinated display design for review before production. That service-led approach is especially useful when you want the entire booth to look intentional—not pieced together.

Frequently asked questions

What size custom tablecloth fits a 6-foot table?

Measure the exact table. A common banquet table is approximately 72 inches long, but width and height must also match the selected cover template.

What is the main difference between Carbon’s economy and premium logo options?

Economy uses a preproduced polyester cloth with a front logo applied using commercial-grade heat-transfer material. Premium uses large-format dye sublimation and supports more complex artwork, custom colors and broader print coverage.

Should my logo go on the front or top?

The front panel usually gives the best aisle visibility. A top logo can help from elevated viewpoints but should not replace the primary front-facing mark.

Can a photo be printed on a tablecloth?

Yes. Photography and full-surface artwork are generally better suited to the premium dye-sublimated option, provided the source image has enough resolution for the final print size.
