How to Submit AI-Generated Artwork for a Tablecloth or Banner

Designs created with ChatGPT, Canva, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, or another AI-powered tool can be a great starting point for a custom tablecloth or banner. However, an image that looks sharp on a phone or computer screen may not contain enough detail for professional large-format printing.

Following these guidelines will help us reproduce your design as clearly and accurately as possible.

Send the Original Design File

Always provide the original, highest-quality version available. Please do not send a screenshot, social-media image, thumbnail, or image copied from a website.

Preferred file formats include:

  • Vector PDF
  • Adobe Illustrator (.AI)
  • EPS
  • SVG
  • High-resolution PNG
  • High-resolution TIFF
  • High-quality JPEG

Important: An Adobe Illustrator “.AI” file is a vector artwork format. Simply creating an image with artificial intelligence does not make it a print-ready AI file.

Share the Original AI Chat or Project

If your artwork was created through ChatGPT or another AI platform, sharing the original conversation or project link with us may be helpful. When access is available, we may be able to download a higher-quality version of the design than the copy saved to your device.

Please also upload the largest original image the platform allows you to download.

Provide the Design—Not Just a Mockup

AI tools often create realistic renderings showing a design already displayed on a tablecloth, banner, wall, sign, or trade-show booth. These images are useful for communicating your idea, but they are generally not suitable as production artwork.

Whenever possible, provide the design by itself as a flat, straight-on image without:

  • A table, banner, booth, or room surrounding it
  • Perspective or angled views
  • Fabric folds, wrinkles, lighting, or shadows
  • Product hardware or display stands
  • Decorative backgrounds that are not part of the final design

You may send the mockup as a visual reference, but we will still need the separate artwork intended to be printed.

Use the Highest Resolution Available

Large-format products require substantially more image information than designs intended only for screens.

For best results:

  • Create or export the artwork at the final printing proportions.
  • Use at least 150 DPI at the finished size whenever possible.
  • Avoid enlarging a small image or low-resolution screenshot.
  • Do not repeatedly save or compress JPEG files.
  • Export PNG files at the largest dimensions available.

Increasing the DPI number alone does not add missing detail. A small or blurry source image may still reproduce poorly after it has been enlarged.

Keep Important Content Away From the Edges

Logos, text, QR codes, phone numbers, and other important elements should not be placed too close to the edge of the design. Tablecloths may include seams, corners, folds, and areas that wrap around the sides of the table. Banners may require hems, pole pockets, or finishing hardware.

We recommend keeping essential content comfortably inside the safe area. Our team can help confirm the proper placement for your specific product.

Check AI-Generated Text Carefully

AI image tools frequently create lettering that looks correct at first glance but contains misspellings, distorted characters, or inconsistent fonts. Before submitting your design, carefully verify:

  • Business and organization names
  • Phone numbers and website addresses
  • Dates and event details
  • Spelling, punctuation, and capitalization
  • QR codes
  • Small disclaimers or supporting text

Whenever possible, provide your exact wording separately so we can confirm that it is correct.

Include Your Logos and Brand Assets Separately

If your design includes a logo, please upload the original logo file separately rather than relying only on the version embedded in the AI-generated image.

Vector PDF, AI, EPS, or SVG logo files are preferred. Brand colors, font names, Pantone colors, and any other brand guidelines are also helpful.

Canva Artwork

If your design was created in Canva, export it as a PDF Print file whenever possible. Please enable bleed only if the provided template or our production team specifically requests it.

If the design contains photographs or AI-generated graphics, also download the highest-resolution PNG version available.

Before Production

Every AI-generated design should be reviewed for:

  • Resolution and sharpness
  • Correct dimensions and proportions
  • Spelling and contact information
  • Distorted or incomplete design elements
  • Logo quality
  • Safe placement of important content
  • Appropriate bleed and finishing allowances

If artwork needs to be recreated, converted to vector, retouched, or significantly enlarged, additional artwork charges may apply. We will explain any recommended changes before proceeding.
